To make that happen, we’re looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering organization into the next stage of technical and operational excellence. 🚀

The Opportunity

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role at the heart of straiv’s evolution. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our current platform — ensuring its stability, performance, and reliability for our customers — while at the same time leading the creation of our next-generation, cloud-based microservice architecture (AWS) designed for scalability, innovation, and long-term growth.

You’ll work hand in hand with our Head of Product and Innovation, alongside a talented team of engineers, to turn vision into execution. Your Mission

  • Lead and Scale the Engineering Organization: Guide a growing team of engineers and leads toward technical excellence, accountability, and delivery.

  • Drive Platform Evolution: Maintain and continuously improve our current platform while steering the design and development of our next-generation cloud-based architecture.

  • Champion Scalable SaaS Architecture: Establish and enforce robust principles for modern, scalable, and maintainable SaaS software design.

  • Foster Technical Innovation: Encourage experimentation and adoption of new technologies that advance reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

  • Ensure Operational Reliability: Oversee system health, performance, and uptime — guaranteeing a trusted and seamless experience for our customers.

  • Promote Engineering Best Practices: Strengthen CI/CD, testing, observability, and code quality standards across all squads.

  • Mentor and Empower Teams: Develop engineering leaders and foster a high-performance, ownership-driven culture.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product, Design, and Innovation to align technology strategy with company goals.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior or head-level leadership roles within SaaS or B2B technology companies.

  • Proven track record leading teams through large-scale architectural transformations and modernization initiatives.

  • Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and microservices-based architecture.

  • Strong background in software architecture and scalable SaaS design principles.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and system observability.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills — able to connect technical direction with business impact.

  • A passion for building teams, scaling systems, and delivering innovation that creates measurable customer value.
